I missed a few days and was curious,what happened to this C4i character. Last i heard he/she was exchanging e-mail with Diane and FM. What was that all about. Thanx for filling me in.

What happened with me (Diane will have to illuminate her "doings"), is that the cryptic c4i character emailed me and told me that a reporter at a certain publication knew all about him.

I then contacted said reporter. I believe Diane did so as well.

Said reporter contacted me with a couple of questions. 'Haven't heard back from him.

In short, watch the news. At this point, I don't think c4i passed anybody's "smell test."

What's the name of the reporter? Who does he/she work for? Is there a reason you must be surreptitious about this?

A funny thing struck me...I'm sure we aren't the only military with c4i assets and there must be counterparts to our c4i assets worldwide in numerous countries both friend and foe alike...I'm sure they'd be interested in trolling information/responses too. Then, there are the other entities that could be interested such as domestic terrorists, foreign terrorists...

I can't wait for this to be over with. Bump, brick wall...just happen already.

I received the following response from the publication's editor, which will remain unnamed for now...

"I personally don't get involved in forums, discussion groups, etc. They are hot-beds for rumor and disinformation. My stories and research come from direct sources. I also do not have time to read through the lengthy "threads" as you call them.

Additionally, my sources in the stories you mention are all confidential. And they are all verified.

Thanks for your interest."

The c4i "group" will need to recontact their old channels directly, if they want a story published.

That said, some VERY strange things STILL went on over the course of those threads. Still researching the ramifications.

Well, that editor just lost respect and credibility. No need to be so rude or huffy  :P
A *real* reporter/editor should still have enough curiosity left, especially about something as potentially devastating as Y2K, to at least LOOK at the subject matter!

When a person gets that snide, snooty, cynical and jaded, s/he no longer has what it takes to sniff a real story and ride the adventure to Truth. Too bad.
