can anyone tell me about Fujitec enhanced safety software? does it really exist?

Funny you mention it. I think I'm dealing with that right now. I don't have any answers, yet, but rumor is it's been installed on one of our jobs. Either it's true or these are the fussiest elevators ever made.

Fujitec will install the enchanced software on jobs that they lose the service contracts on. The main thing the software does is tightens the tolerances on the door cicuit. Fujitec controllers will do a door check each time the car goes to run, it has so much time to see the CAC,CBC,close limit and gar gate switch. With the enhanced software it shortens the time on each switch. You most likely find your car shut down at the floor with the doors open. With the regular software it will shut down with doors closed. This way people will see car not working and they will always know it is down. You have to stay on top of door maintence.

Actually all Fujitec equipment since the Exel-dyne has the enhanced software. They don't just install it on contracts they lose. We have leared what makes them happy and keep up on the maintenance. Its not so much the timing of the contacts but the order in which they make or break. The Mill-2 equipment is built on the same sofeware as the Exel-dyne, It is just a little more picky. We at Fujitec deal with it the same as everyone else.

Steve is exactly right, it is the order of the door logic that is important. cac and cbc are not relevant to each other, they could both go at the same time, with no problem. i have even changed the wiring so if one of those microswitches go bad, i have the other working both circuits. a key factor is making sure your gate switch contact is not making up too close to the cac, cbc circuits. cac and cbc should be made no later than 3 inches from full closed and the gate switch 1 to 1.5 from fully closed.
