Miprom/MegaTech in overhead-Pit

greenspun.com : LUSENET : Elevator Problem Discussion : One Thread

I have an older Miprom/Megatech with an anolog A/B drive that intermittently goes in the overhead, found car in pit once. I've changed all the relays on the NTS, ETS and the relay pilot boards, I tightned all terminal @ the control, I've also cheked Tach and encoder couplings, brushes etc... all appears normal. May happen once a week or twice a day with no rhyme or reason, never had anyone stuck when problem happened. Any ideas or suggestions?

sure youre not ticking interlocks? nts voltages may not be set right.they are adjs. by pots on the board. best to have a service tool but it can be done with a meter. there is a chart that gives values including changeover.

miprom

Have you ever experienced the car getting out of step? Double check landing system for proper floor counts.

The black and white twisted pair wire to the normally open auxillary contact on the "M" contactor, operates the voltage command amplifier. If this contact does not make, the zero to eight VDC command is not amplified in the drive and the car can drift into the overhead.
