Anyone having difficulties uploading software besides me? I have no problem connecting to controllers, running diagnostic screen or entering commands in terminal mode but, uploading software is a real chore. I get repeated errors then finally it will allow me to flash.

Try a newer version of the wizard (I have had problems with V14 when running WinXP), try a slower baud rate and make sure there is no line noise on your connection. In some cases power must be recycled to the controller if the wizard cannot get the controller into the upload mode. There is some good info on about uploading the software on CEC's web site. I probably shouldn't be sticking my head above the sandbags but I wrote the Swift/Futura Wizard version 15.23. There were certain difficulties with the Flash Upload but I thought I finally got around all of them. As I recall, the overall "challenge" was for the Wizard software to correctly recognize any of the various types of messages that might be coming from the controller in order to know what codes to send back to the controller to put it in the correct state for the Flash Upload to commence.

My relationship with CEC ended 2 years ago and I am now an ELEVATOR CONSULTANT so I have no time at all and am always late, but if you have questions about Wizard version 15.23 it would certainly make a break for me from the endless tedium of writing maintenance inspection reports to try to figure out the problem if I find spare time in the evenings.

Barry, The version I've been using and having trouble with is v.14 so perhaps I need to call CEC and request v.15.23. I'd also like to get my hands on the software for the PDA they are offering as I have an Axim that's crying for something to do. Thanks again for the tip! Kev
