A category (see that subject below, or in the "Forum Mechanics" category), called "Ideas" will be created about 5 minutes from now. The idea is to have a place to file a few of the 7 or 8,000 pretty good ideas everyone seems to get almost all the time, but very few people do anything about because: A) most of them just fall through the cracks of our memories; and B) general inertia.

Not that this will solve the inertia problem, or even put much of a dent in the fleeting memory pipeline, but who knows? Maybe a few of them might make it into this category and - miracle of miracles - maybe one or two of them will get acted upon at some point...

I'm thinking here of the notes Sue made last year at the end of the employment office report: The Employment Dream List and Tentative Employment Changes for 2002 sections... Good ideas. But, as usual, it seems unlikely much will be done about them again this year.

And while that may continue to prove to be the case with whatever good ideas make it into this category, if nothing else, getting a few of them stored here would make it easier to put together a "Good Ideas" and the "Emplyment Office Dream List" section of this year's employment office report (just as things can be copied out of MS Word and pasted into this program, anything in this forum can be just as easily copied out of here and pasted into Word).
