I wouldn't be too hard on eyeroller. Afterall, he's always been quite good at sparkin' conversation. On top of that, when he's not preaching politics he can be quite interesting. In fact, I'd like to take this opportunity to welcome him back from his little sabbatical.

So, welcome back, "eyeroller". I guess there's no need to ask if you feel refreshed and rejuvenated. It's pretty obvious based on how busy you've been all over LUCENET today. BTW, catchy new handle ya got there. I like it. Much more descriptive and colorful than your other one.

Talking Points: Of All the Nerve!

Friday, May 11, 2001
By Bill O'Reilly
FOX NEWS

It may be one of the most unfair things I've ever
heard: some Democrats blaming President Bush
for high gas prices. That's subject of this
  evening's Talking Points memo.

It is spin galore as Americans are getting hammered at
the gasoline pump. The Democrats are trying to blame
the Bush administration saying Mr. Bush and Mr.
Cheney are former oil guys. Talking Points is not quite
getting this.

For eight years under President Clinton, absolutely nothing was done
about
the energy
situation -- no nuclear, no drilling, no alternative fuels. When OPEC
cut
oil production,
Mr. Clinton did not challenge those countries in any meaningful way.

Mr. Clinton did not encourage conservation because his soccer mom base
loves those
SUVs. The former president did not embrace alternative energy
research by
issuing
executive orders that would have fast-tracked fuel cell, wind, and
solar R&D.

Mr. Clinton did not warn the State of California that it was botching
its
energy
deregulation, even as the Department of Energy knew in-state capacity
on
the left
coast would not meet demand.

The truth is that Bill Clinton had no energy policy at all. His
administration blocked
drilling, and no new refineries were built. It was an across-the-board
energy blackout.

So how on earth can the Democratic Party pin the blame on Mr. Bush?
We'll
find out in
a moment.

I would very much like to speak to Bill Clinton about all this, but
he's
too busy playing
golf and giving speeches overseas. And The New York Daily News calls
me a,
"Clinton
basher," and then quotes a Clinton pal as saying Bill C. would talk
to Bill
O. when hell
freezes over.

But that may be sooner than later because we can't afford heating
oil. I
really love this
Clinton-bashing stuff. You back up criticism with facts, and you're a
basher. More
revolting spin.

The truth is that the Clinton administration had no will to develop
energy
sources of any
kind and played the status quo. It is also true that the American
people
greatly
expanded their personal energy use in the boom times.

As you may know, I've been taking plenty of heat from the SUV people.
But
listen to
Paul Krugman writing in The New York Times:

"The surge in energy demand was mainly due to the renewed enthusiasm
of
Americans for huge gas-guzzling vehicles. The nation ran out to buy
ever-bigger SUVs
and then suddenly discovered we had run out of refining capacity."

So there you have it. No energy policy by Mr. Clinton coupled with SUV
mania. Presto.
Three bucks a gallon. I didn't see George W. Bush's name in that
analysis,
did you?

And that's the memo.

Most Ridiculous Item of the Day

The internal study by the IRS found that federal employees at that tax
agency spent
more than half their time on the job doing personal business on their
computers. Isn't
that nice?

This includes porn, gambling, shopping online, and generally screwing
around. Our tax
dollars at work.

No wonder Jesse Jackson isn't being audited.

It may be one of the most unfair things I've ever heard: some Democrats blaming President Bush for high gas prices. That's subject of this evening's Talking Points memo.

Give it a few more weeks and most will be pointing the finger where it belongs, at Dubya. And poor Dubya, how could they question our new found Savior!

It is spin galore as Americans are getting hammered at the gasoline pump. The Democrats are trying to blame the Bush administration saying Mr. Bush and Mr. Cheney are former oil guys. Talking Points is not quite getting this.

Spin is 100% correct. ENERGY CRISIS isn't it? Well where is the data supporting it? No place so what is the crap flowing out of the WH? SPIN

For eight years under President Clinton, absolutely nothing was done about the energy situation -- no nuclear, no drilling, no alternative fuels. When OPEC cut oil production, Mr. Clinton did not challenge those countries in any meaningful way.

Clinton isn't responsible for the Marketplace, or have you Repugs already ditched this notion and are now believing your own claims about them Big Spender Liberals and Gumbit being the great provider? Think about it next time Junior spews his "agenda" which apparently the Marketplace is unable to deliver without his "proposals" Who is jerking who?

Mr. Clinton did not encourage conservation because his soccer mom base loves those SUVs. The former president did not embrace alternative energy research by issuing executive orders that would have fast-tracked fuel cell, wind, and solar R&D.

Show of hands, drivers of SUV's support Clinton? Too funny, ya right dork. Next week this idiot will be using the ever popular Volvo or VW bus with Greenpeace stickers to peg the "liberals".

Mr. Clinton did not warn the State of California that it was botching its energy deregulation, even as the Department of Energy knew in-state capacity on the left coast would not meet demand.

Yep, they stayed out of it, California's business, remember? like Dubya says! Why you ask? Simple, if the situation warranted, Clinton would have used the means at his disposal, namely the FERC to manage what is in their jurisdiction. Does anybody seriously think Bill would be sitting by and allow Californians to be extorted like Dumbo is? Big difference and this idiot is yet again distorting reality to fit his stupid agenda.

The truth is that Bill Clinton had no energy policy at all. His administration blocked drilling, and no new refineries were built. It was an across-the-board energy blackout.

No new Refineries have been built since this Bill O'Reilly idiot was in College. He is relying on the inherent stupidity of his audience, and flying with it.

So how on earth can the Democratic Party pin the blame on Mr. Bush? We'll find out in a moment.

Simple, look at the data. What has changed? Duh Dubya in the WH maybe is what has changed?

I would very much like to speak to Bill Clinton about all this, but he's too busy playing golf and giving speeches overseas. And The New York Daily News calls me a, "Clinton basher," and then quotes a Clinton pal as saying Bill C. would talk to Bill O. when hell freezes over.

Geesh what a baby. Ya Bill gunna talk to a dorkweed like Bill O'Reilly, please.

But that may be sooner than later because we can't afford heating oil. I really love this Clinton-bashing stuff. You back up criticism with facts, and you're a basher. More revolting spin.

Bill O'Reilly wouldn't know a FACT if it bite him in his behind. Guy is a jazzed Larry King wantabe is all.

The truth is that the Clinton administration had no will to develop energy sources of any kind and played the status quo. It is also true that the American people greatly expanded their personal energy use in the boom times.

boom times, can't have any of that! Just how does this mental midget think these boom times came about anyhow? Maybe doing ZERO is what was needed, ever cross his mind? Leave the Market fucking alone? Leave the American Public fucking alone? maybe THAT strategy works? ya think?

As you may know, I've been taking plenty of heat from the SUV people. But listen to Paul Krugman writing in The New York Times:

"The surge in energy demand was mainly due to the renewed enthusiasm of Americans for huge gas-guzzling vehicles. The nation ran out to buy ever-bigger SUVs and then suddenly discovered we had run out of refining capacity."

No wonder he gets SUV owner support--THEY ARE REPUBLICANS you moron! Capacity? been tight for decades, ridiculous issue and baloney.

So there you have it. No energy policy by Mr. Clinton coupled with SUV mania. Presto. Three bucks a gallon. I didn't see George W. Bush's name in that analysis, did you?

That is because you are stupid. Well not him, he is a paid RNC stooge, but his viewers, well you make that call.

And that's the memo.
