OT: Human Tatooing [US Patent 5,878,155]

greenspun.com : LUSENET : TimeBomb 2000 (Y2000) : One Thread

This is a follow-up on my previous post, OT: "Mark of the Beast" [US Patent 5,878,155], for those who may be following some of the newer technologies which may rise from the ashes of Y2K.

Bear in mind that this is just a reprint from an email I received, but the news service seems to have done a pretty good job of investigating things over the years. Frankly I see the more apt technology to be evolving more along the lines of implantable biochips.

The usual naysayers' comments are typically along the lines of how such tagging systems are unnecessary, because of biometric identifiers (fingerprints, iris scans, etc.) However, from what I've been able to gather, part of the plan is to encode such biometric data onto/into the person himself, eliminating the need to store such data in mainframes which may be subject to catastrophic systemic failures.

It's a pretty touchy subject, so if anyone has any "inside scoop", feel free to anonymail me. Also, I would like to get input from other (more appropriate) newsgroups if anyone has suggestions.

Bureau Chief/Editor: Wally Wood Friday, November 26, 1999 - Patented Tatooing "He also forced everyone, small and great, rich and poor, free and slave, to receive a mark on his right hand or in his forehead, so that no one could buy or sell unless he had the mark ..." Rev. 13:16-17 (NIV)

Over the years, we have observed how advancing technology is giving rapid rise to such things as electronic chip implantations, GPS satellite tracking, radio frequency identification (RF/ID), electronic data interchange (EDI), remote sensing, digital tagging, etc.

All of this, of course, finds its fullest meaning and ultimate viability in the long-awaited, much prophesied application of the so-called "Mark of the Beast," as described in the Book of the Revelation, chapter 16, verses 16-18 in the Bible. Here is described a dictatorial regime of global proportions, able to exact its will over nearly every nation on earth, administered by a single ruler known prophetically as "The Antichrist." His coup de theatre ("a surprising or sensational turn of events intended to have a sensational effect") comes with the issuance of this mark, symbol or tatoo in the right hand or forehead, without which one is forbidden to work or shop. Early Evidences:

Early vestiges of this future reality are found, for instance, in World War II when the Nazis literally tattooed numbers into the hands of Jewish prisoners. Then, in 1975, a new laser tattooing branding iron was tested "on steers, horses and swimming salmon .. The laser destroys skin pigment. In thirty-billionths of a second, a technician can stitch a brand ... or just initials on fish or live-stock" (Oklahoma City Times, Nov.6, 1975).

In the Sept. 30, 1973 edition of Senior Scholastics magazine -- a news magazine to the nation's junior and senior high schools at the time -- an article entitled, "Public Needs and Private Rights: Who IS Watching You?" unveiled a future cashless society in which "people would receive a number tattooed in their wrist or forehead. The number is put in by laser beam and cannot be felt. The number in the body is not seen with the naked eye and is as permanent as your fingerprints." The front cover of the magazine was an artist's rendering of teenagers with their Social Security numbers branded into their foreheads. Current Development:

Now, evidence seems to suggest that the U.S. Patent & Trademark Office has granted a full patent for just such a procedure for precisely those purposes. Under U.S. Patent No. 5,878,155, granted March 2, 1999 to one Thomas W. Heeter of Houston, Texas, is recognized a "method for verifying human identity during electronic sale transactions ... A bar code or a design is tattooed on an individual. Before the sales transaction can be consummated, the tattoo is scanned with a scanner. Characteristics about the scanned tattoo are compared to characteristics about other tattoos stored on a computer database in order to verify the identity of the buyer ..."

On page 5 of the six-page Abstract, under the sub-title "Description of the Preferred Embodiment" (ie: the Tattoo), paragraph one reads in part (eliminating "FIG" numbers referred to throughout document paragraphs): "As shown in FIG.1, a tattoo is applied to an appendage of the wearer. In the preferred embodiment, an invisible, indelible ink would be used. A suitable ink would be 'INVISIBLE SKIN MARKING INK #743'which is manufactured by Sirchie Finger Print Laboratories, 100 Hunter Place, Youngsville, NC." Pursuing the Proofs:

Using the Internet as our primary verification tool, we approached the verification task through the "front door" of the U.S. PATENT & TRADEMARK OFFICE itself, located at http://www1.uspto.gov/. Utilizing the agency's own "Search" provisions, we tried several different approaches to get at the same answer. Sure enough, at every turn from within the agency's own website, we verified both the document and its contents as being real.

Utilizing other "search" engines and methods on the Internet, we never failed once to verify the validity of the information we had.

Despite our several failed efforts to contact "Mr. Thomas Heeter" of Houston, Texas to both interview and further confirm the identity of this document, we must be satisfied with the results of all other methods applied for verification, all of which produced positive results.

Further confirmation was obtained through the Fondren Library's Government Documents Dept. at Rice University, Houston, Texas.

We have also confirmed the existence of Sirchie Finger Print Laboratories of Youngsville NC and their "invisible skin marking" product. Conclusions:

Without casting aspersions toward any person or company or product in this report, we make the simple observation of how accurate scriptural prophecy is proving to be in the life span of this generation.

"Even so you, too, when you see all these things, know that My coming is near, even at the door. Truly I say to you, this generation will not pass away until ALL these things take place." Mat. 24:33-34
