Please don't let this forum be cancelled: to anyone that has the ability to keep it "on the air". I was so shocked to see the news. I had planned to ask for a recipe for CRISP pickled broccoli and okra....and then I see the news. Can anyone help? Where else can we go??? HELP!!! There are tons of practical matters to discuss that could help so many people.

WE ALL NEED THE ARCHIVES!

Many of us are not finished with preparations and benefit greatly from the practical tips shared here!

We already miss the Forum, want to be able to retrieve & continue it. If Ed would just give it to Hardliner or Diane or BigDog or Rob or a responsible regular, the name TimeBomb 2000 could be changed and references to Ed eliminated so he wouldn't be pestered/frightened/embarrassed/career perturbed/financially harmed.

PLEASE !!!!!

We do hope that Ed & Phil & Whomever will realize that it is too cutthroat to decapitate the Forum cold turkey like this, and will turn it over to one of the regulars. That is the humane thing to do. Many of us have not finished preparing and need the Q & A help with prep tips.

Ed, Phil, Whomever, TPTB MUST know how civil many of us have remained, and how deep friendships and comradery have formed on the Forum. It's unbelievable that anybody would just shut it down, without giving us at least advance notice and a week to copy archives, our own posts, and our friends' eMail addys!

Apparently, the death of this forum has been exaggerated...the man speaketh on another thread:

"The forum will continue to live, and the threads and messages should be able to be posted without any changes.

I hope that we'll be able to make an announcement of the new forum sysop/moderator in the next day or so.
