Governor Jesse Ventura tells us to "Be Prepared"

greenspun.com : LUSENET : Lakes Area 2000 : One Thread

The Minneapolis Star Tribune said yesterday that Governor Jess Ventura is borrowing the Boy Scouts of America motto and urging all Minnesota families, businesses and agencies to "Be Prepared" for possible year 2000 problems.

He also announced an effort called "Y2 Ok," that will have scouts across the state going door-to-door to drop off Y2k preparedness cards.

But why wait for the scouts? There's a web page on this site that you can get to by clicking here that will tell you about a similar plan the Minnesota Department of Emergency Services has in mind. There's also a link at the top of that page that will take you to a copy of the American Red Cross Y2k Preparedness Checklist that we've formatted so it's in the best possible shape for you to print right off the web. Or if you'd like to do that right now, just click this link and then choose Print from your browser's File menu...
