Thats just so funny I had to post it in a seperate thread. I mean come one... why NOT talk to trolls? Is there some kind of fear there that if you talk to trolls you might be flushed out as being WRONG? Why the opposition to debate people who don't take the stand the majority of people take? And don't give me the bull about how debating isn't the point of this forum. This forum has evolved into something ed yourdon didn't intend and you can't change that. Don't try and fall back on something that pathetic for an excuse not to converse with "trolls".

Respond to this post or don't respond, it doesn't matter. Just wanted to see how far along your Y2K subculture has grown.

We've tried growing some of those Y2k subclutures here at he Bears den. Yep, all you had to do was look through the microscope of scrutiny and there they were crawling around. (Upon poper genetic analysissome had an extra gene - the D gene.)

Problem was, when you brought them out into the light of information and clear thinking most died. Almost all. All the ones with GI genes lived. Those with the added deadly D gene - well they.....didn't.

So sad, guess we'll try yogurt next.

Nobody here advocates NOT talking to people who are ignorant of the issues, misunderstanding of specifics, wrong about their information, differing in opinion or just plain clueless. People here DO advocate NOT wasting time responding to people who just want to waste the forum's time and energy.

I have seen instances of new people coming along and asking the stupidest questions you can possibly imagine, and forum regulars pouring out positive responses by the tubful. That will happen when a new poster, no matter how clueless is SINCERE! That's the key.

I've read a couple of posts of yours, and you seem to me to be totally insincere. There are regulars here who think the doomers are crazy, and the doomers respect those opinions, debate the specifics and welcome the sincerity of their positions. You can't put much past this crowd, and sincerity, no matter what one's position is, is one of the first things that will be judged.

I think you may just have gotten flamed, and are stinging from it. Give it a rest, learn the lingo, decide who and what you are, and come back when you're ready to tangle with people who know what they are talking about and who know what they believe...

You, though, like to stir up the minority of people on this forum who post before they think. Your goal is to get anyone who can upset, so that the rest of us who are calmly preparing for Y2K look ridiculous.

I've been on this forum in different incarnations for about the past year. Lots of serious folks, trolls, DGI's, GI's ect. Question. Does it seem to some of you that Y2K is becoming a hobby ? I don't have many hobbies myself, but TEOTWAWKI doesn't seem productive. Let us all help each other prepare, pass on good information, address concerns of new folks, but all this useless chatter does not help, it seems to me.
