Diane J. Squire - has THE right idea.

Diane, I tried to email you but it came back gateway down?? I am sorry for my typing but my keyboard is on the fritz (no return key - etc) Anyhow, I just finished reading your = An Open Letter And A Call To Action For Marketing Y2K Preparation = thread - and your = How To Y2K Nudge An Unaware Nation = thread. You are obviously a go getter - motivated and on the right track. I would like you to read my post A strategy... and let me know if you will work with me on it. This is xmas day so most people are busy but I've already recieved 3 offers of help. You and I are on the exact same train of thought here - and I think we can work well together on this. I've only coordinated a few tasks as large as the one I'm suggesting (they were certainly not this important) and they were successful. There are a number of ways that you could help with this project, even if your time is limited. I know that you've tried to introduce this idea a couple times before and it got derailed - but ya gotta partner now if your interested in giving it one more try! "You can become as successful - as the most successful person ever - the ONLY thing stopping you - are your obstacles, overcome them!" Are you with me on this? Do you have the time to be a major player in this with me? (possibly 20-40 hours over the next month?) or would you like to volunteer in a less time consuming capacity? Whitney (I apologize for the typing - will get new keyboard on Saturday)

Thanks Whitney,

Just sent you a message. I feel brain dead at the moment.

I have been doing my own e-mail campaign to investigative journalists in my area and any time I read a Y2K related article, I usually respond with encouragement. Its reaping rewards, locally. I actually got interviewed, which was not my objective. The reporter asked me to start sending him e-mails of interesting things I see on the net related to local preparation and the electric utilities. I figure hes in a much better position to get behind-the-scenes on a story that impacts us all. Its my way of helping them, help us.

January is the time things will pick up again on the media awareness dial. Ill be happy to figure more newsmedia tactics with you and any of the group here. I do need to focus on preparation issues over the next week for an article I owe Cory Hamasaki, and for some upcoming interviews.

Cheers,

Diane

Whitney, Where are the two threads from Diane Squire that you mentioned above posted? I'd like to read them.

One is under Y2K Media coverage - half way down titled An Open Letter And A Call To Action For Marketing Y2K Preparation the other is under awareness general thread titled How To Y2K Nudge An Unaware Nation (over halfway down)
