Gonna Buy an Enlargergreenspun.com : LUSENET : Black_and_White_Photography : One Thread |
I'm planning to start making my own B&W prints, and am comparing Omega beginner enlargers to those from Beseler. At least I'm trying to.My main resourse is the internet, and I haven't been able to find much info on Omega enlargers on the net. Beseler has a page (albeit a bit dull) that has info on their CadetII enlarger, but I can't seem to find an equivalent enlarger from Omega.
My pimary concerns are price and portability. My wife is a traveling nurse, and we move from one city to the next on contract every three to six months. Soooo...portability is of great concern.
If anyone knows where I can find more info on the net on specific Omega enlargers, I'd appreciate the URL, or if you feel that I might as well get the Beseler, or whatever....please pipe in.
Thanks, Jonathan

I personally prefer to use Beslers. They tend to be more stable and easier to use. Though they are a lot heavier than the Omegas. For traveling purposes I would go with the lighter Omega (it's proably cheaper too).http://crick.com/alex
