wrist pain and position search

hi i looked and did not find a search bar or engine for this site. How can i do a search? My daughter is 10 and complains of wrist pain when she practices piano and types on the computer. we have a wrist rest for the comp but don't know what to do with the piano. she does not drop or arch her wrists overmuch that we can tell. thanks Frances

At first, she talks about needlework, but keep going and you'll find some stuff about piano and computer.

In the meantime, I would consider limiting your daughter's computer time to required school work.

If you can, take her to the doctor--she is 'way too young to be having wrist pain like that.

Alice is right--limit the computer time, but I would go one step further. I'm sorry, but children don't *need* to be on the computer for anything school-related, certainly not at that age. Public schools really can't require that sort of thing, simply because many children do not have access to computers at home, either due to affordability, or parents not wanting them in the house. I would have a little chat with the school people, if they're requiring a lot of computer time.
