Where can I find microfilm of old SF newspapers? I'm specifically interested in the Examiner and Chronicle from the late 19th and early 20th centuries.

Hey, John-

I think you can save a bridge toll for the Chronicle. I believe the California Room in the Marin Civic Center Library has the old Chronicles on microfilm. I think they also have the Alta from back then, but no Examiner.

Perhaps the M.H. DeYoung family's presence in Marin had something to do with that.
