There are many popoular images of the Sacred Heart of Jesus. Does anyone know of a difinitive source or information concerning copyright?

All original artwork is automatically copyright, artwork does not need to be registered with any one and there are no fees involved. To use somebodys artwork you need their permission. To reproduce larger quantities of somebodys artwork you could either buy the original work from them (copyright would then revert to you) or you could get an exclusive or non-exclusive license from them to reproduce their work.

I suggest that you contact the Apostleship of Prayer, which is well known for, among other things, its images of the Sacred Heart.
