What are the connections between Poe's life and work?

(I need as many of these as possible by March 1 at 5:00!)

His life reflected his work in the sense that when his life was happy and he was happy it was reflected in his work and later on after his wife died he started getting even darker and so on.

you also have to remember that he was never really a very happy writer and that all of his work is pretty dark and that he started to do heroin later in his life so take that into account.

he was very much afraid of two things : being buried alive and being trapped in a cage. his stories reflect both sometimes... like the Cask of Amontillado which has the guy being buried alive. and in the Pit and the Pendulum the girl gets trapped in a cage.

I rarely get a day off so any last minute requests, notably homework assignments, are very hard to respond to- especially the overly general type that get asked over and over again. And over and over again. try surfing FAQ's on some Poe sites and the already answered questions here if it is really urgent.
