What is the symbolism behind the seven rooms and the seven different colors of the rooms? Why does the black room have red windows?

i see it as a way of expressing his feelings, his moods, and his feelings toward others. he kept the final room a black room as to keep it preserved or in other words to keep it in a state of frozen time, untouched. he knew no one would enter the final room, but the others were so bright and full of life, that the people could not help but be drawn to those rooms, the same way they were repulsed by the dreary, dark, dead room in black.
