greenspun.com : LUSENET : Video CD : One Thread

Hi, I have downloaded dvd movies from sheraza and they are saved as m3u files via windows media. I have tried to burn them using nero but I keep getting a file not compatible message as it is a windows media file. Can anyone please help me??? I'm sooo frustrated!!! I'm not sure why they saved as m3u files either as they were avi and divx files. I can play the movies in media player and I really want to burn them to disc. Help me please!!!

.m3u is a playlist file, and only points to media files. You should be able to open the .m3u file in a text editor and see where the media files actually are. That is what you want to convert. The link below is a description of what's in an .m3u file.
