The USA, Baltimore in Maryland. I can see the harbor from my third floor window.

If they don't stop building around the harbor, I'll only see bricks and roof top decks.

How deliciously ironic!

Non-Catholic Dave, who left the Catholic Church, lives in Carroll County, Maryland, named after Charles Carroll of Carrollton, the only Catholic signer of the Declaration of Independence, and a relative of John Carroll, the first Catholic bishop in the United States.

Through the intercession of those oldtime Catholic greats, Dave will some day be a revert to Catholicism. He may say, "Bunk!" to that prediction today, but pay him no attention if he does. You see, he would have said, "Bunk!" six years ago to anyone claiming that he (then a high-ranking Assemblies of Swaggart member) would have come as close to Catholicism as he now has. Unless he has changed again very recently, he is a member of the Charismatic Episcopal "Church," which aches in vain for intercommunion (shared Holy Eucharist) and to be recognized by the pope as having valid holy orders.

I live in the U.S., originally from southern California, but now living in Las Vegas, Nevada.

Last summer, I felt like I actually experienced the flames of hell (just kidding...but it got up to 114 degrees!!! Ouch!!!) They call this place "Sin City", but oddly enough, there are about 15 Catholic churches in the area.

You must have good eyes and a tall building. If you can see the guy waving his arm out of a 3rd floor window, it me. I'm wearing glasses.

I should note -- I think Houston is the newest Arch-Diocese.

Archbishop Joseph Fiorenza was installed on Febuary 16 (I believe -- I couldn't make the service myself). He has been Bishop since 1985 and is past president of the USCCB. ( A very good Bishop, by the way).

Hey Jim, I'm on the 19th floor of the Redwood Towers - great view from up here.
