I am facing problems converting movies shot on Sony Camera to a VCD

greenspun.com : LUSENET : Video CD : One Thread

I have shot movies on Sony DCR-TRV22E. I have used software provided by Sony to convert the same into VCD. The download is done by using DV io cable which is supposed to be faster than the USB cable provided by the company. The movies generated are not satisfying. I prefer watching the playback using the camera attahed to the TV rather than conberting the sam into a VCD. Can anyone help me on which software is best suited to convert the DV into VCD. I have tried out Windows Movie maker but it consumes a lot of space.

Thanks

What you need is Honestech Mpeg Encoder. It does a fantastic job with DV video as input. You can also try out their Editor. Remember to set best quality for output.

If u had transferred the video into PC, u can convert it into VCD using Canopus Procoder, for a better quality video. Try it.
