Digital Books about Black History

greenspun.com : LUSENET : A.M.E. Today Discussion : One Thread

I found an interesting digital book yesterday. It is called "Southern Horrors: Lynch Law in All Its Phases".

Many of our young people do not understand just how blessed they are to be born in THIS century. They do not understand many of the old spiritual songs. By looking at how we were treated, they may be able to connect with the meaning of the songs, and start thanking grandma and grandpa and God for their blessings.

This digital book can be downloaded for your PC or PDA. Copy and paste the link below to grab it.

This is an excellent example of how technology can be a great ally in furthering our understanding of history and literature. Many thanks for sharing this link. I look forward to incorporating this information in a future presentation I'm developing called Leading the Church School in the 21st Century. QED
