How 'bout them Patriots!!?? Would you believe that we have a super bowl "dynasty" right here in New England????? Honestly, though, Harry and I do tend to watch the Red Sox more than the Patriots. But we're still doing the happy dance :-)!!

BTW...just make ya feel better, here where I am in Maine we're expecting 12 to 15 inches of snow over the next couple of days. 'Bout time, I'd say :-) :-)!!!!! Let me know what you all get way down "south"!

I was rooting for the Arizona Cardinals.

I don't think I've ever watched the Cardinals play, Polly...except around my bird feeders :-)! Now that was a lame response, wasn't it!!?? Actually I didn't care if the Patriots or the Eagles won, since the Eagles hadn't been in a superbowl for something like 25 yrs. But it just seemed fitting that the Patriots won and followed in the footsteps of our other winning team, the Red Sox!

Speaking of John Kerry, how did they plan to use his face on the side of the Patriot's helmets?

I watched the entire game (albeit distractedly) because we were spending the weekend with folks who wanted to watch it. This year the game was moderately interesting. I thought the commercials were really sub-par this year tho. And Sir Paul was just okay.

Sorry, not my thing. Son watched though. I liked the commercial where the guy in the convertable froze at the light because it was too early for a convertable.

They were saying we were going to get some really bad weather but the new update is about an inch. It got really cold out throughout the day. In the morning when I fed the animals, it was nice out. When I went for my riding lesson a few hours later, I was cold.

Oh, by the way, I've got a cute puppy on my lap.

no snow. how'd you do?

Sheepish...I didn't hear anything about using John Kerry's face on the helmets. Guess I was out of the loop!! I didn't watch the game at all except for the halftime show (which I thought was pretty good considering Paul McCartney's age!!) so I can't really comment on the commercials either.

Dee...we got hammered!!!!! LOVE IT!!! All totalled I think we got about 12 to 15 inches in my location. Only thing is that it's wet, heavy snow...pain in the patooty to shovel, but my horse just loves rolling in it. My granddaughter and I were out making snow angels today. She's had two days off from school. In spite of the fact that it's a heavy snowfall, we never lost the power...which amazed me :-)!!! This weekend temps are supposed to be back in the 40's so I think we'll lose most of this snow...in fact the roof is dripping off right now!

It just *looks* like John Kerry's face...check out the jaw!

Have a good weekend. We're off to E. WA.

Believe it or not, we still have about 2 inches left from the last big storm that dropped 17 inches. That was light stuff and wasn't good for snowballs for about a week :) When it did get warmer, the cleared paths became mud so I had to walk in the snow.

It has been so dry, my sinus, eyes, hands and hair are terrible. My sinuses are killing me because it's like dried food in a pan, you have to get it wet before it becomes soft to come out. That then makes my eyes ache because they are dry. I'm using drops and snorting handfuls of water. I want to move!!!!

Geesh, Dee! You sound miserable!!! Hope you're doing better...:-)! Personally, the dry winter months don't bother us too much except when we've had to run the woodstove really hard and for a long period of time. Even then, a humidifier and a big pot of water on the woodstove helps with the humidity.

Dee, what does 'snorting handfuls of water' mean exactly? Maybe you would have better results if you DRANK the water instead of inhaling it? :)

Hey Em, I went to a nose, ear and throat doctor last year (get this every year) He told me to make a solution of water and salt or baking soda then spray it up my nose with a baby nose sucker thingie. I didn't want to use the plastic thingie so I used a glass eye dropper and would put some in my nose, sucking all the time. I went to a new doctor, holistic MD and he said to just put it in my hand and inhale it. (he's testing me for the other problems I have had for a while, including the night terrors) That way I get a good amount. It did work better that way. Hurt as a matter of fact, kinda like what chlorine from a pool feels like, because it was sooo dry. I have been drinking more water lately too. That also helps.

I could never do that! Any time my nose gets any water in it my body goes into instantaneous panic mode. I may have drowned in a past life?

As for dry sinuses etc, I need lots of water to keep them in good shape. Drinking it that is. When I have forgotten to drink my water, my first reminder is dry eyes.

Weather here in MN: lost most of that snow when we had more weird days in the 40's. Had a little yesterday, but then it got warm again and melted. Lots of ice from all the melting, especially on the north side of both our buildings. both of them have their long sides on a corner, so we have lots of sidewalk to keep in shape, being that they are used a lot and don't want anyone to get hurt. In the 40's again today........too weird. This is February aint it?
