Hey everyone, at the school where I teach we'd like to hold a ceremonial burrying of the Alleluia for the 2nd through 8th graders. We will be doing it on Tuesday, before Ash wednesday, and the kids will walk into the church with little "Alleluia" papers and place them into a little coffin on the altar.

Can you guys give me some suggestions for how exactly this should be done? Also, we'd like to have the students sit down and we'd like to give them a quick explanation of why we do this.

Can you guys help me out and with an easy explanation kids can understand?
