Stranded Wire

Is it ok to use stranded wire ( 22-24 ga) when wiring accessories instead of soild wire ? I have read that solid thin gauge wire breaks easier when working with it.

Yes. However be aware that stranded wires are simply made up of several other solid wires of even smaller ga. So each small strand will now break more easily. The trick with either wire type is to get a wire stripper that doesn't nick the wires.

Thanks. I remember cursing trying to install a telephone jack. The wires broke every time !
