I was raised Roman Catholic, went to parochial school, but I never got saved until nearly 15 years later reading a Gideon Bible! I always thought my salvation depended on confessing to a priest, the Mass (mass confusion!), communion (the wafer god), until I found out that there is NO purgatory, and I don't need an earthly priest to approach God! When I was attending catholic school, we used to have these May coronations. It involved going to a little "grotto" at the back of the school, where there was a LIFESIZE statue of "Mary" in tis little "grove" of trees. (You know, like the GROVES that the children of Israel built during the time of AHAB when God nearly wiped them all out!??!!!) We would gather in a circle, say the rosary and a little girl would be chosen to go up and put a wreath of flowers on "Mary's" head. Oh, we thought it was so cute and so PIOUS! I never even knew back then that I was in BAAL worship! Boy, was I ever in for an eye-opening! Bless God, He brought me OUT of that mess! I have often been ridiculed by (Well-meaning?) Christians for my stance against mariolotry and against purgatory. I have been told by many of them that Catholics love Jesus too and they are going to heaven. Well, sure they are, IF they are saved! I never hesitate to tell them, too, that they need to come out of that SYSTEM! But, I do not hesitate to tell the truth about this "Mary"(BAAL) that they worship. She is none other than ISHTAR or ASTEROTH from the Old Testament. The Queen of Heaven. God said he would NOT share His glory with another! No one ever told us to worship His mother! Just reading the last couple of sentences shows me that "Donna" never knew her faith to begin with as with most Catholics who turned to protestantism. She seems to be confusing worship with honour and venerating. A big no no.

As for the bit about Purgatory even common sense tells one that, since we will be totally pure in heaven, we must be purified if we are still impure at our deaths.

And the only thing she got from leaving the Church is nothing but a bunch of misinformed and bogus information, half truths and a whole lot of heretical dogmas from the traditions of men. I truly feel sorry for this one.

Someone (uh-hum - Donna)needs to re-read their Bible and see that everything point towards Catholicism being the only true faith...

Even her falsified Gideon Bible wouldpoint towards Our Lady as conqerer of heresies...

Unfortunately, she is unable to tell the difference between the Woman clothed with the sun, and the Whore of Babylon! Mary and Ishtar--two very different people.
