all you have to do is get a centrifuegul clutch and put it on the driveshaft the gaet another sprocket and put it on the rear axle and run a chainon then and then you have motion

I put a ryobi 32cc 0n a small pedal car and it runs great. used a 3/4 bore 1.50inch pulley on clutch output shaft then to a 6" pulley on a 5/8 jack shaft to a #35 11 tooth sprocket on the other end of the jack shaft to a 42 tooth sprocket on my drive axle, final gear ratio about 15:1 to 18:1 is what u need to get the power u need with 10 in tall tires. you need to support the end of the clutch shaft were the weed eater drive shaft slid in with a bearing or your clutch will fail from the side load. this diameter i think is 7/16. the jack shaft is adjustable and also rear axle to adjust belt and chain tension,I since then put chain on both drives because the belt slips when the 5 year old kid is whippen shitters in the snow! ryobi makes a clutchless model you dont want, and clutch model u want to use so u can idle engine at a stand still. this is the first time ive read this forum and I cant belive how many un mature, way to much fucking time on their hands, FUCkING stupid coments people reply with? grow the fuck up and build somthing with your time loosers!this is not directed at u solo, Email me if u want some pics of the kart,Jay.
