I am having lot of AVI clips. I want to make VCD using this AVI files. The AVI files are big insize 150- 200 MB. Can the size be reduced by converting into other formats and written as VCD using one software. If any free downloads available.

http://www.dvdrhelp.com has some guides on converting AVI to other formats, including VCD. Yes, this can be done with free software. It's impossible to say if converting AVI to VCD will make the video files smaller or not. It will definitely reduce the quality to convert to VCD. It depends on what codecs, if any, were used to create the AVI file. If your AVI files are actually DivX files, converting to VCD will produce bigger files. VCD requires that the video be MPEG-1 and at a constant bit rate of 1.115 Mbps. There are other video formats that produce smaller files than VCD, but they aren't valid for VCD.
