IS JESUS GOD OR THE SON OF GOD????

Answers

Yes.

He is God the Father's son. He was not born, He was begotten, so He is also fully God - One with the Father and One with Holy Spirit who is also God. That's why we call God a tripartite being (the Trinity).

The son of a man cannot be other than a man. Likewise the Son of God cannot be other than God. Therefore Jesus was and is fully God and fully man.

In the Old Testament wasn't it sometimes said "son of the prophets," or "son of the musicians," and it wasn't meant as a "son" in biological terms but "of the order of?" So the "Son of God" likewise as in "of the order of" God. "Father, Son, Holy Spirit?"

Yet what you said Paul M. is one of the best answers I have ever heard.

Well, Paul, Daniel makes a distinction between God Yahweh and the Son of Man (Jesus).

Notice that the Son of Man (Jesus) comes to the ancient of days (Yahweh).

Thus, they are not the same.

From Blue Bible: Dan 7:9 I beheld till the thrones were cast down, and the Ancient of days did sit, whose garment [was] white as snow, and the hair of his head like the pure wool: his throne [was like] the fiery flame, [and] his wheels [as] burning fire.

Dan 7:10 A fiery stream issued and came forth from before him: thousand thousands ministered unto him, and ten thousand times ten thousand stood before him: the judgment was set, and the books were opened.

.....

Dan 7:13 I saw in the night visions, and, behold, [one] like the Son of man came with the clouds of heaven, and came to the Ancient of days, and they brought him near before him.

Dan 7:14 And there was given him dominion, and glory, and a kingdom, that all people, nations, and languages, should serve him: his dominion [is] an everlasting dominion, which shall not pass away, and his kingdom [that] which shall not be destroyed.
