Check it out. I've just read parts of "A Doctor at Calvary", written in '62, I think, and the doctor there is absolutely convinced that the shroud is authentic. This study here is no small vindication!

But Laurent, it does prove something. It proves the the Shroud dates to before the 8th century. Obviously, if people still want to believe it's a forgery, they still can. They just have to believe that it's a 1300+ year-old forgery, rather than a 700 year old forgery.

Why is Lauent anxious for proof? He hasn't admitted there's a God. He denies any life after this one. To bother about an old shroud now is absurd.

If you proved it was Jesus' burial cloth to Laurent, he would ask So what?

But when Laurent has lived his life and gone to the grave, he'll suddenly see proof. His soul will be helpless against the demons; taken away shaking with fear. He shall go to the place Dante describes, where letters over the entrance say: ''Abandon all hope, ye who enter here.''

Can anybody tell me where I can find accurate information regarding the veil Veronica wiped Jesus' Face with? I read one site that said the Vatican had it, but it was stolen. Another site said the Vatican has a cloth which they believe COULD be the veil. Hard to know which of the many site and stories about the veil are credible. Seeing pictures of the shroud is very easy as we know. But I would love to see any pictures of Veronica's veil, problem is all I can find are artists renditions of it. If the Vatican has the veil, have they ever put it out for public display? Thanks for any and all feedback!

Jesus Christ was dead on Good Friday. There were hundreds of witnesses. He was placed in a tomb.

Then, He was raised from the dead, by Almighty God, His Father; as He himself had prophesied beforehand. p>There were also hundreds of witnesses who saw Him, after He came back. They saw, spoke with Him, they saw the marks of the crucifixion on hands and feet; and the hole in His side, where He had received a lance to the heart. WITNESSES!

These many witnesses testify to Him, alive after death. Later on they also would die as martyrs; still telling us the truth.

Since He taught us all that we have for our faith, Jesus Christ; and He knew there was Purgatory, He saw it Himself; --we cannot doubt it. If Christ saw it, it is real. If the Church teaches this, it has to be true because everything taught by the Church comes to us from Jesus. We know He's God, who can neither deceive nor be deceived.

Eugene , people can tell anything what they want , those or such stories doesn't say anything !! Like in court , as long there is no proof , no-one can get convicted / condemned !! If just a word or a story was a legal proof , the world would be a big chaotic mess !!
