What did you do with your snow days?

Sweet-What amazing luck that I am the first one to post. I would say that I have been preparing for exams but that would be a lie. I've been spending my time either doing some fun road-biking on my icy streets or doing dougnuts with my friend's go cart and racing through alleys. In the evening I've been watchin lots of movies with mis amigos. See you guys on Wednesday.

The theme of the week was 'Whatever.' Spent most of the time just hanging around the house. I read a little, went outside a little, played some video games, and studied minimally. Absolutely no structure was present in my snow days.

maybe studying for exams...a little bit... mainly just destroying my hearing. Shut myself in a basement with my band, The Intrepid Travelers, every day. Soon to be not only Richmond's loudest band, but the loudest noise in general. Our PA will contravene local strategic arms treaties. Seriously. By the way, we have a show sometime in March, we're not sure of the date. Ask Quin Costin - he's organizing it with his band, Blue Storm. Check it out, it'll be good fun.

I studied some, sewed a lot, I finally cleaned my room, my mom was pretty excited, I ate a ridiculous amount of candy for lunch and had my first stuffed crust pizza. I'd say this was a very productive weekend.

I have been developing my culinary skills. I cooked dinner twice (Pad Tai stir fry and vegetarian chilli) and baked custardy pop- overs aka "Yorkshire pudding" according to my mother. I also walked to the coffee shop a couple of times with my sister and laughed as all the people with great big SUVs to cart all their bratty kids around slid down the hills, which just goes to show that SUVs serve no reasonable purpose in the city and everyone is wasting their money paying for gas and destroying the environment. So there.

I did absolutely nothing...my days off were spent basically just chilling out (literally, ha ha), watching Star Wars, avoiding studying for exams, and watching the pathetic slush melt. Oh yeah, and I just went and saw the Phantom of the Opera for the fourth time (That was fun; I was going crazy from being stuck inside and not seeing anyone).

Lazing about like the lazy (but very cute) bum that I am. I have done very little and enjoyed it all very much. Just spent the last hour dancing to music, and I think that was the most active I've been all break. Yay for freak snow storms and getting your studying done early!

I studied hard for my exams, read some wonderful books, helped my family around the house, and spent time admiring the beauty of nature and life. Translation: I studied hard for a full five minutes, tripped over a book on the floor of my room, assisted my family by making sure there was always something entertaining on the TV, and looked at the snow while walking my dog. I really did nothing but watch TV and sleep. That's it.

I basically spent the time postponing studying for exams. I was thrilled to see our first day back isnt even an exam day. I watched some TV and played some video games. Also played football in the sleet/freezing rain/whatever.

So far, i sat at home everyday. The roads in Hanover take forever to clear off. But mostly, ive gone outside, and slid on the ice in the street. I honestly have studied a little bit, especially for Journalism! Have fun with the rest of the snow!!!

JASON!!! I didn't know you had Waller! OK so basically i stayed up till 3 AM every night playing XBox or watching movies with minimal study periods. I also went sledding down a hill on Sunday, but the hill was more leaves than ice. But i did see someone in my neighborhood with the license plate 'GSGIS.' Not too much fun, but I'm sure Mr. Waller was glad of the days off from us.

I ate, slept, and watched tv.

Oh, and I got up occasionally to use the loo.

I did go to volleyball practice on Saturday. We were one of the only four cars on the road. Everyone was traveling 20 mph. Much fun.

I did a whole lot of nothing over my 6+ day weekend. I did do a lot of procrastinating studying-wise, so I look forward to the exam review day. I did practice with two-thirds of my band once, and we actually came up with a name: "Jetta Theory". Pretty sweet, eh? Unfortunately, I almost died just driving out of my neighborhood to get to practice, so I only actually left Salisbury twice. Pretty lame-o.

I'd like to say that I studied, but alas I haven't. I did, however, make a cool movie with my friend: Kung Fu Style. I almost cracked my head open in the midst of it; fortunately, most of my higher brain functions are int tact. I did my fair share of sledding, slipping, and sliding down hills. I also got a chance to see some movies that people keep bugging me to go see. This six day break had given me some time to burn a whole bunch of CD's onto the iPod too, which I've been meaning to do. Oh, and of course I studied laboriously for several hours on Tolkien stuff.....

I've been sledding!!! I've also been following my mom around as she teaches at her school (which is, by the by, open with no problems). We have this great hill behind our house, and although it is cluttered with trees, if you can steer, you end up on this pond...which was, until today, totally frozen over and you ended up going the fastest as you sped across that...my dog helped by pushing. After my knee healed up from the ice-skating incident, my brother and I spent about three days out on the ice. On Sunday, we couldn't get out of our driveway to go to church, so we just slid around the whole day. Unfortunately, I re-bruised my knee pretty badly so I had to come in, but I just curled up with Jane Eyre (THE BEST BOOK IN THE WORLD, Ilya) and watched as my dad and brother and a few of the neighbors killed themselves on the road in front of our house. I will admit that I am a terrible nerd and have spent a good hour or so (sometimes more) studying for my Latin exam, but seeing as how I am a senior and only have to take three exams, I didn't study for any others. Let me say, though, that I now thouroughly know lines 1-297 of book 2 of the "Aeneid". Wish I could take the exam soon so I wouldn't have to keep on reviewing. Oh yeah, I also studied for the Journalism exam. That's gonna be a toughie. See you guys tomorrow!

Uh, sorry about how long that was. I never can write in a consice (sp?) manner. I'll have to work on that!

I started out last Thursday and Friday by studying--I didn't think we were going to be out so I was totally prepared. Unfortunately, I use the cram method, so all of that studying is of no use to me now (maybe I've finally learned my lesson!). Friday night I had friends over to my house and we had a Gilmore Girls marathon (I got the 2nd season on DVD for Christmas! :) :) ). Over the weekend I played in the snow and studied some more and slept A LOT-this finally made up for the sleep I had lost the week before exams. I had a friend spend the night Sunday night then slept at her house Monday night, finally coming home today (Tuesday) and realizing exams are around the corner. Yuck. Anyway, basically my little unexpected break was full of sleep and friends--two of my favorite things. I hope you guys enjoyed yourself as much as me, see you at school! :)

This long weekend I pretty much ate, slept, studied for 6 hours on 3 of the days, played poker twice with the fellas, watched 2 movies, talked online to some kids, went skating in my yard, played madden 2005, and played the best video game ever made: Crash Bandicoot. O yea and I read every article in the new edition of ESPN magazine.

yeah....I got the flu so that was fun...then I ummm still have the flu, o boy! But I did get to drive a go-cart and do some donuts on the ice, and may I be the first to say that Moses was looking out for me when we got all that snow because having the flu and taking exams would probably have been a terrible combination...see ya tommorow -Zach
