An End Times Site. Can anyone comment on these messages from Father Andrew Wingate. Has anyone seen his web site at www.trumpetersmission.com/main.htm, See under Messages and Trumpeter in Purgatory.

I would like to know if this is legitimate and accepted by the Catholic Church. These things are pretty frightening and serious.

I don't know what the official Catholic Church position is, but I suspect it's silent on it. I read through some of the site, and I must say Fr. Wingate's accuracy rate is a bit . . . ah, how should I say . . . off? There's a list of specific predictions with specific dates ALL of which were missed. I can't say we won't experience horrible terrorist attacks, there're definitely trying to hit us, but I wouldn't pay much attention to Fr. Wingate. His track record, according to his own statements, isn't worth worrying about.

Actually, Pat, I've been reading more on that site and I have to say I think the guy is not only wrong, he's wacked, but that's just my opinion. He thinks that millions of children have already been raptured body and soul into Heaven just waiting for the Lord's Return so they can return to earth. They apparently were raptured to protect them from the persecutions of the anti-Christ during the Tribulation. And any day now, the UN and Nato are supposed to invade the U.S., win and occupy us for 7 months. These are just of too many things that just have me laughing out loud. Don't worry about this stuff, really.

Now I'm entertained . . . from Fr. Wingates products for sale, comes this special incense. Here's what he says about it:

In 1991, St. Michael appeared to The Trumpeter [Father Wingate] and brought from Heaven a tin container which St. Michael opened, and poured something into it. St. Michael the Archangel told The Trumpeter that this is the incense from the Last Supper of Our Lord Jesus Christ. This same incense was used continuously from The Last Supper, during the Passion of Our Lord and up to Our Lord Jesus’ burial in the tomb. St. Michael never left Our Lord’s side and continued to anoint Him and the area with this incense from Heaven in order to remove Satan’s influence from the plans of the Almighty God. Even Pontius Pilate could not change or alter the inevitable plans of God. Our Lord Jesus told Pilate so by saying, "You have no power over Me, if it were not given to you from above."

St. Michael has given this heavenly incense to the faithful in order to remove Satan and the devils from the location desired, or from the person’s home. However, if the person in the home does not want to change and desires to remain in the evil state that he or she is in, the incense will react the opposite. Instead of exorcising the home and people, St. Michael will remove grace from the home or location. And the incense will neither burn nor smoke.

The incense from Heaven is mixed with other incense so that no one will be able to tell which is the incense from Heaven.

This ought to give you a clue as to who you are dealing with, Pat.

dude, i couldn't even get past the first page of that site. some things are just too obviouly stupid. one thing that i noticed right off the bat was "donate" and "products." not that those words make me prejudice, but they do strike a chord. thanks for the laugh!

Well as far as I'm aware the Catholic Church doesn't believe in the rapture so why would it really be a Catholic priest saying this? Perhaps it's a fraud to discriminate against the church? Who knows!

This sure makes you question the ligitimacy of his preaching. I've dealth with Sheila, his wife, and there doesn't seem to be much "spiritual" attitude toward others. Instead, she was eager to know where her money was going since PayPal credited me and she was out of the money. Her only concern, not did you get the product or did you get the credit due you.

This leaves us open to question what is good and what is not good for the Church and our salvation through the Church. I'm certain this is not authorized teachings from the Vatican. When asked if they are from the Holy Mother Church, their reply is a short "yes".
