Aside from grammatical help perhaps a great site would be the interactive educational knowingpoe/thinkport.com. The best literary site is www.eapoe.org and there are many fine fan and historical home sites linked to the above. Perhaps none is up to substituting for reading a complete biography but their perspective is generally better than many books on Poe.

Poe's connection to the mystery story he invented makes for a fine exhiibit in itself including the Raven Award given each year for the best mystery fiction. Few movies do him or his work any justice at all, "The Man in the Black Cape" being a good historical mystery starring Joseph Cotten. Poe's hits, popularity and tragic life make for interesting beginnings with many photos available online.
