In what way? Are you implying that people who are ignorant of the Bible dismiss it too readily as something man created? Or that thoseof us who believe it to be God's Holy and inspired Word are mistaken? What did you have in mind?

Jerry:
The Bible is a collection of books. The fact that it was collected into the great Book you think it is, shows men DO have the power of understanding it.

I mean those men God chose as His prophets and Christ's holy apostles. You really don't understand it, because you have yet to allow God's servants to explain what it means. You push them aside; you go on telling yourself they fell for a lie.

They're called to lead you and me, if we let them. But if we run wild nobody can lead us to God. And, remember: God never forces us to believe. We are given free will, we can do a Punker on God; tell Him ''Shut up, I need no authority telling me anything.''

--Or, use the free will as rational men of good will. The way the apostles did. They looked up to God, saying, ''Lord, I want to serve you; give me the strength and the opportunities. No matter what; I will serve You only.'' God never forced them to serve Him. He loved them for the faith they placed in Him. And if you offer to serve Him for love, He'll love you in heaven for all eternity. It's all up to you.

I agree with you, Jerry. I remember the sense of awe I first had in reading for myself words that I knew were from God's heart, not just man's opinion. To actually know what God thinks about something is one of the greatest treasures we can possess.
