Some psychologists may be of the opinion that masturbation is psychologically healthy, but they have no "proof" that this is so. In any case, Psychologists are not in a position to comment on the morality of an act, any more than the Church can clinically define psychosis.

Psycologists ony claim that masterbation is not the sign o mental illness, and make no moral comment...as Paul said, just to elaborate.

Good and normal is not for you to decide, or for a psychologist. It's sinful because orgasms are for the sex act within marriage, between a man and his wife. Not between a man and his fist. You can't marry your hand. Giving yourself in marriage to your own hand trivializes real marriage; a union whch God makes holy.

It's very much like worshipping a wooden idol, when God demands you worship Him only.
