Has anyone ever made a car that could carry a person with a spring?

there are these big ass springs from hydraulic doors in the back of my engineering class that would work if you could get some. you could put a deep pulley on the back axle with a rope fixed to a point on it and a couple of springs attaced to the other and of the rope and the front of the car. then you could put the back wheels up on blocks and cronk the back wheel until it pulls the springs all the way taught. then you could put a brake on the back axle and release it whenever you want to use some of the power.
