Did Poe ever fall in love with a Sarah Helen Whitman, cuz I heard from somewhere that he did. Just answer yes or no it makes it easier.

Yes. She was his fiance for awhile, but it didn't work out. She was also a poet. kool eh

She was a love of his. She died from consumption in his life also. She was a much older woman, a mother to one of his friends. It explains why that didn't work out.

Not only did he work himself up to a reasonable semblance of love but their poetic correspondence and projects created his fondest wish for an artistic soul mate. Actually meeting her turned out to be a bust on so many levels it can be said it was everyone's fault including the objecting family. Sarah did not think he really loved her as much as Virginia, certainly differently, despite his wife being rather a simple soul outside the refined literary pursuits.
