I was wondering if anyone knew the groups who are translating FB and where/how I can find or contact them. Like, do they have yahoo groups, IRC channels, websites, etc that I can go to see their status on releases?

If you join the yahoo group manga_hosterz, then you can get fruits basket scans up to chapter 61, and then a few random ones in the 70's. Its also got tons of other manga there, like hana-kimi, marmalade boy, etc. :)
