Dear Honorable Representatives and Volunteers, Ladies and Gentlemen,

We hope that this letter finds you in great health and good spirit in this holiday season. We are the Youth for Viet Nam War Memorial Monument Fundraisers (Nhom Tre Gop Cong Xay Dung Tuong Dai) located in Houston. Our group comprises of volunteer young professionals in various professions and students from many universities and colleges in the state of Texas.

Our group is very new and young and has only been in existence for just three months. We are independent from any existing organization in Houston. We share a common love for our Motherland, Viet Nam, and deeply respect the former American and Vietnamese service men and women who have sacrificed their lives in the war. To these fallen heroes, we owed our livelihood and freedom and to them and their legacy, we sincerely like to pay our deepest and sincere respect.

For the past few years, we have learned of the fundraising efforts for the Houston Viet Nam War Memorial Monument (Tuong Dai Nguoi Linh Viet Nam Cong Hoa va Dong Minh). We understand this project is going to benefit the entire community of both the young and the old generations. We also understand that this responsibility will be held accountable by all generations. With deepest respect, we would like to ask for your permission to join in this legacy voyage toward the completion of the Viet Nam War Memorial Monument. We appreciate any contribution you would like to donate. In addition, we would like to ask for your support by letting other Vietnamese people know about our cause. We can use all the help we can received. From the bottom of our heart, we’re deeply indebted. Please help us.
