Actually, this is rather amusing to see. If you all would like to keep track of Advent Children progress, the site adventchildren.net is very thorough and pounces any shred of information it can get a hold of. According to them from the Montreal Film Festival in October, Nomura said that the film was only 60% complete because they continue to re-render with newer programs. You must think it's complete because -despite- its lacking of completion, it has still been invited to even the Venice Film Festival from the summer. The Montral Film Festival trailer was fifteen minutes long and Nomura said the film is expected to be at least four times that. No release date has been revealed, but it is not expected to finish until summer at earliest. Thank you.

Final Fantasy 7: Advent Children is a sequel to Square's most popular and best selling game, Final Fantasy 7. After much speculation, it has been confirmed to be a movie, not a game. However, this is not exactly like a real movie, It's an animated FMV sequence similar to those of Final Fantasy 10 and X-2.

The movie is expected to run somewhere between 70 and 80 minuutes (just over an hour) and will only be released on DVD (no cinema screenings). Popular Final Fantasy 7 characters Cloud, Tifa, Barret, Vincent, Red XIII, Yuffieand Cid have been sighted in trailers/screenshots and have been confirmed to be in the movie. There are approximately 20 characters in the movie with still many to be confirmed some new ones including the 3 silver-haired males who are seen fighting cloud.

Advent Children takes place 2 years after the end of Final Fantasy 7. So far it is known that main story revolves around 3 men, Kadaj, Loz, and Yazoo, so as most of the original Final Fantasy VII characters. Translations from Japanese scans show that they are the advent children . It also shows that people suffer from Star Scar Syndrome ( Geostigma ) and they have something to do with it. Children suffer from this illness the most. It looks like Cloud supposed to save those children and find answers why this is all happening.

As mentioned above, most of characters from Final Fantasy 7 return and play important roles in this movie. Due to advances in technology, this time around, characters are designed beautifully with new outfits. There are many new characters which are still not known such as the white-caped man in the wheelchair commanding the 3 silver-haired men. There are many theories regarding this person, including Sephiroth and even Aeris. One thing is known, theories like this will not be confirmed until you watch the movie. Square-Enix is keep tight-lipped about most of this movie and ensuring the plot is not leaked.

Being a full FMV movie, it's not hard to realize that this will feature quality graphics from start to finish. Working on conjunction with visual works, Square-Enix is working hard to ensure the quality of this movie is astounding. This is mainly the cause for the delayed release of the movie.

Advent Children is going to one of the biggest releases this year . The movie is expected to release worldwide at the end of 2004/05.

FIRST THINGS FIRST...ITS NOT A FINISHED PROJECT YET. like sone of the SMARTE ppl here have stated...its not done. they only have it about 70-75% of it complete, so those of u who say u have it can jus go blow it out ur asses. next order of business...no ones gonna even get to see the final print until about late june to early july...or at least the actual producers will about then. the goal theat theyve set for finish date is about mid june - thats around the 15th of june for those who r jus retarted...it wont b on dvd til at least august. thank you and have a nice day.

ps. NO ONE is even close to seeing more than the 15 min clips that they shoow all over the place, n the clip that they show is just from what they have done - think about it...how much of the movie do u actually see when u look at the small bit they have showing- DUH the first half....if that.

As of February 23 2005 'Final Fantasy Advent Children' is only 79% complete, I should know cause I recently received an official email from square-enix replying to an email I sent regarding release date.
