On November 21, we members of the Catholic Church family commemorate the Presentation of the Blessed Virgin Mary, by her parents, to God in the Temple.
We also honor, in a special way, the following friends of God -- saints whose souls are now in heaven:

St. Albert of Louvain (Belgian, bishop of Liege, martyred by the sword at about age 36 in 1192 [canonized 1613])
St. Amelberga of Susteren (French, Benedictine abbess, c. 900)
Sts. Celsus and Clement of Rome (Italian, early martyrs)
St. Columbanus the Younger of Luxeuil (French, monk, martyred c. 616)
Sts. Demetrius and Honorius of Ostia (Italian, early martyrs)
St. Digain of Cornwall (British, 5th century)
Pope St. Gelasius I of Rome (Italian, secretary to two popes, elected to papacy in 492, reigned until death in 496)
St. Heliodorus and companions of Pamphylia (from Asia Minor [now called Turkey], martyred c. 270)
St. Hilary of Volturno [Hilario] (Italian, Benedictine abbot, c. 1045)
Sts. Honorius, Eutychius, and Stephen, of Asta (Spanish, martyred c. 300)
Bl. Mary of Jesus the Good Shepherd Siedliska of Roszkowa-Wola [Maria od Pana Jezusa Dobrego Pasterza] [baptized Franciszka (Frances)] (Polish, virgin, religious, died at age 60 in 1902 [beatified 1989])
St. Maurus of Verona (Italian, bishop, c. 600)
Bl. Nicholas Giustiniani of Venice [Niccola] (Italian, father of nine, Benedictine monk, c. 1180)
St. Rufus of Cyrene (Libyan, son of St. Simon of Cyrene, greeted by St. Paul [Romans 16:13], c. 90)
