On November 14, we members of the Catholic Church family honor, in a special way, the following friends of God -- "saints" and "blesseds" whose souls are now in heaven:

St. Adaltrude of Saint-Cirgues (French, mother of St. Gerald, 9th century)
St. Alberic of Utrecht (Dutch, Benedictine monk, bishop, d. 784)
Sts. Clementinus, Theodotus, and Philomenus, of Heraclea (Greek, martyred)
St. Dubricius of Madley (British, archbishop of Caerleon, monastic founder, c. 545)
St. Hypatius of Gangra (Paphlagonian [from part of what is now Turkey], bishop, martyred [stoned] by heretics c. 325)
Bl. John Liccio of Caccamo [Giovanni] (Sicilian, Dominican for 96 years, priest, miracle-worker, died at about age 111 in 1511 [beatified 1753])
St. Jucundus of Bologna (Italian, bishop, d. 485)
St. Lawrence O'Toole of Castledermot [Lorcan Ua Tuathail (in Gaelic)] (Irish, Augustinian abbot, archbishop of Dublin, died in France at about age 52 in 1180 [canonized 1225])
St. Modanic of Aberdeen (Scottish, bishop, 8th century?)
St. Montan of Lorraine (hermit, bishop)
Sts. Nicholas Tavelic of Sibenik [Nikola], Adeodatus Aribert [Deodat], Stephen of Cueno [Stefano], and Peter of Narbonne [Pierre] (Croatian, French, Italian, French ... Franciscan friars in Jerusalem ... martyred by Moslems in 1391 [beatified 1889, canonized 1970]) [St. Nicholas died at about age 51.] [commemorated by some on December 5]
Bl. Serapion of London (English, Mercedarian priest in Spain, hostage in Algeria, martyred [crucified] by Muslims at about age 61 in 1240 [beatified 1728])
St. Serapion of Alexandria (Egyptian, tortured and martyred [thrown from a height] in 252)
St. Sidonius of Saint-Saëns (French, Benedictine abbot, c. 690)
St. Veneranda of Gaul (French, virgin, martyred in 2nd century)
St. Venerandus of Troyes (French, martyred in 275)
