It is supposed to get quite cold in the next couple of days. I encourage you to be ready. Suggestions:

1)Warm liquids warm hearts.

2)Soup simmering on the woodstove is a blessing for any wayward traveller.

3)Oil purchased for the lamps before the cold gets here prevents danger and heartbreak later.

4)That woodstove needs wood split some today.

5)Never leave your wife to split the wood herself when she has children to watch and care for.

6)A warm shawl about the head and shoulders warms the whole body.

7)An afghan for the lap truly helps the aged even in a house warmed for young people.

8)Layers of clothing provide more warmth that a single layer.

9)Don't forget bedding for the animals.
