Invoice Confusion - Suggestion

greenspun.com : LUSENET : zipcar : One Thread

I have previous mentioned how unreadable and confusing invoices are and the replies from other zipcar members have all been in agreement.

I think that there are a lot of members who do not like the format of the invoices/payments/statments etc.

My question is: Is zipcar.com analysing and reviewing this or not.

My suggestion is: Why not get rid of payments/invoices/credit & just have a statement each month?

Statement Suggestion for someone on $75 monthly plan:

Statement Delivered to user on Dec. 1st.

Statement Nov 1st - Nov 30th

Balance Brought Forward $65.00 Misc Credits $0.00 November Monthly Charge $75.00 (charged to card ending in xxxx on 11/01/04) Total Credit available in November $140.00

Nov 3rd - E87th St btwn 2 & 3 Ave, Mileage Charge Sales Tax. Total $45.35 Nov 10th - E87th St btwn 2 & 3 Ave, Mileage Charge Sales Tax. Total $55.35

Nov 12th - Toll Charge for Rental Oct. 10th 2004 Ref: xxx/xxx/xxx $3.00

Nov 30th - Unused Previous Montly Balance n/a (Congratulations you drove enough over the last two months) Total Credit carried Forward $36.30

Also - get rid of Summary Charges - it is confusing & has often been wrong on my account.

Many Thanks!!! Please zipcar members, if this looks more readable - send in your support & maybe they'll change their system.

Well - I had formatted that email so that the last half was in a tabular fashion... looks like it was a wasted effort.

I am so confused with the invoices as well. Has anyone found out if they are doing anything about it? Why are they doing it this way, it is illogical.

I agree with bringing unused credit forward and showing exactly how much you have available. I use the $75/month agreement and had a credit of $31.85 one month but it didn't show on the next months invoice. I feel as if I'm getting ripped off the way they are doing it. It almost makes me want to cancel the whole agreement.
