yea, a VERY silly question, but a common one none the less.

Manga, or comic's but read from right to left, is the actual story to which an anime is adapted from. It has more story, but less action because of still pictures. Also, its mostly, 99% of the time, in black and white pictures.

Anime, short for Animation and the term for anime from Japan, is a adapted from Manga. But, usually, it doesnt quite run with the story the manga because of nessesary 'fillers' or episodes or parts of an episode thats not in the Manga. All Anime is guilty of this. Anime is usually always comes out if the manga is widely popular.

Manga is not always better than the anime and vise versa.

Thats, basically, the difference between Manga and Anime.

ya forget that manga doesn't move...

anime moves and makes sound... granted i dislike the filler episodes... but the moving type gives a sense of realism. Besides, jokes are sometimes better in animes (eg. yakitake) cos the japanese language has naunces that are difficult to translate.

Still, manga give a damm fine way to burn time... and it is faster to DL so getting a chapter is easier and quicker.

silly question... but asked a lot of times
