On November 5, we members of the Catholic Church family honor, in a special way, the following friends of God -- "saints" and "blesseds" whose souls are now in heaven:

Bl. Bernard Lichtenberg of Ohlau [Bernhard] (German, diocesan priest, martyred [died in Nazi cattle car headed to Dachau prison camp] at age 67 in 1943 [beatified 1996])
St. Bertille of Chelles (French, noblewoman, Benedictine, infirmarian, headmistress of school, prioress, abbess, c. 703)
St. Dominator of Brescia (Italian, bishop, c. 495)
St. Domninus, Sylvanus, Theotimus, and Philotheus (early Eastern martyrs)
St. Domninus of Grenoble (French, bishop, 4th century)
Sts. Elizabeth and Zachary of Ain Karem (Israelites, descended from Aaron, Jewish priest and wife, relatives of Blessed Virgin Mary, parents of St. John the Baptist, 1st century)
Sts. Felix and Eusebius of Terracina (Italian, martyrs, 1st century)
St. Fibitius of Trier (German, abbot, bishop, c. 500)
St. Gerald of Beziers (French, bishop, d. 1123)
Bl. Gomidas Keumurjian of Constantinople (Turkish, priest, martyred by beheading at about age 51 in 1707 [beatified 1929])
St. Goussaud of Auvergne (French, hermit, 8th century)
St. Hermenegild of Salcedo (Spanish, Benedictine monk, d. 953)
St. Kanten of Llangenten (Welsh, founder of abbey)
St. Kea of Brittany (British, nobleman, died in France in 6th century)
St. Laetus of Orléans (French, priest, d. 533)
St. Magnus of Milan (Italian, archbishop, d. 525)
Bl. Raniero of Todi (Italian, widower, Capuchin Franciscan friar, c. 1586)
St. Spinulus of Moyen-Moûtier (French, Benedictine abbot, c. 720)
