I decided to have this Aramaic flavor because of the Movie the Passion by Mel Gibson. It was a good movie visually. But thematically and historically it was lacking. I suppose people might think now there was a crow eating the eyes of the bad thief. Just like they thought veronica was a woman when actually means true victory (of Jesus on the cross).

These translators claim the daialect of Jesus was the Assyrian dialect. Galileans are Assyrians?

They also claim Galileans are descended from Assyrians brought in when Samaria (The Northern Kingdom of Isarel) fell in 723 B.C.

Veronica--vera-icon(veh-ra ee-kohn).

Evidently, the word is a transliteration or corruption. I read that Veronica means true image, de deveras.

That's true, Rod. Vera Ikonos (true Icon or image).

So Veronica as a person never ever existed. Just like Peter our supposed first Pope was never at Rome... and the list goes on.

Rod, did you hear the Aramaic our father?

Hi Elpidio,

It looks like these books I've acquired are actually Scriptures in Aramaic or something. At first, I thought they were in latin, but on closer inspection they baffled me even more.

I haven't read the "Lord' Prayer" in Aramaic, yet. I will, perhaps while I'm sitting there as a hostage for my jury duty.
