Zarove's Proposed rules.

greenspun.com : LUSENET : Ask Jesus : One Thread

>Due to disagreements on the old rules, I propose this new set of rules for Ask Jesus. If Elpidio ratifies them, they shall be the law of the land.

1: No flaming. Personal attacks, or attacks against entire groups of people that are wholly unwarranted, shall not be allowed.

2: No hate, angering. Racism, sexism, or undue discrimination against others is not acceptable, whoever, disagreeance and civil presentation of views will be honored.

3: Freedom of Speech exists on these boards, save for profanity, and overt violation of the board’s rules.

4: Spammers and trolls are subject to deletion.

5: respectful, civil posts will be asked for. Heated discussions will emerge, but if they are out of hand, the Moderators and administrator have the right to end the discussion, lose threads, and ask thematic be dropped for a while.

6: We will all be allowed to full disagree and present reasons for disagreement with other doctrines, churches, ect... but they must be presented civilly and calmly.

7: No name-calling.

8: Personal information, such as telephone numbers credit card numbers, e-mail addresses, ect, will be edited out of posts. Save it for email.

9: No mater how often an accusation is thrown, it will be allowed so long as it is a criticism of a doctrine and/or a hierarchal system, and not a criticism of a person or group pf persons.

This is an initial proposal for discusison, i will wite a full constitution later.

I do not like the post about the "free Bible". It has an address posted, which to me seems suspicious. I think that an email address should suffice for such a transaction.

Also, it has been quite impossible to restrict discussion to "Sola [Scriptura]" systems of debate. If this forum is gonna maintain a "freedom of religion", then we cannot conform to solely one faith system.

Freedom of rleiigo is impossibek on a mesage bpard... you can get freedom to discuss the religion, but cant effectvily practice it here anyway...

-- ZAROVE (ZAROFF3@JUNO.COM), October 28, 2004.

So then, "Sola [Scriptura]" is not going to be the standard form of debate, eh?

Oops! I messed up. I meant "Sola Scriptura" in both of my previous posts.

No standard for beliefs, just a standard for conduct.

-- ZAROVE (ZAROFF3@JUNO.COM), October 28, 2004.

Yes a standard of conduct. By Zar. hmmmmm. Please let me know when you take over ownership so I can leave.

Thanks Laurent. As fr world, what spacitfic problems do you have with me? Or the rules that I posted? I mean, its obvious that this is some perosnal grudge of sorts... however, a spacific complaint woudl be nice, rather than a general disparagence.

World?

Why are you concerned about the rules, considering your background with the "Anarchy Forum", in this forum?

Also...

After you have admitted that the moderator has posted the wrong IP address, why are you going on about your false IP being posted?

World--

We, in this little ole forum, are usually pleasant folks with hard hitting questions and answers. I do wonder what your mission is in this forum as you mix with us. You really haven't posted anything that would spawn deep thinking about our theology or doctrine, at least from my side of the screen. So, what is it that you seek from this forum?

Some respect. So since I get none, and do not thought provoke you, let me ask you something? Do you not have anything better to do than cyber stalk me? I am warning you, I wont play with your stalking much longer. Take it for what it is worth. As for giving something thought provoking, let me hear a 'reasonable' answer from you on this. I am not here to debate. I asked and even emily agreed with me. I've emailed the moderator, since he/she wont delete it, I went over everybody's head, and WILL CONTINUE to do so till I get results. I'm not a hard person to get along with. So I tried to goof off, so I get fried for it? STALKED over it? Not so much as a warning, just put out on front. Tell me Rod, as a sensible person, how would you feel? Angry, thats how. Now I wont take up no more of your time, again please quit stalking me. See what happens when IP's are thrown around?

If it is respect that you are looking for, World, may I suggest that you leave the "Anarchy Forum" for a better place that uses a better way of using language. That forum uses vulgarity like a suba-diver uses oxygen. This place will give you respect. We already have. It is just that when your tone gets abrasive, we tend to want to do some cleaning.

Stalking? Nope. I was actually wondering about the other boards in Greenspun and this forum's ranking. I clicked on a few threads and found your post. As far as the "Anarchy Forum" goes, well.....let me wait before my stomach stops turning.

Please consider hanging around here and engaging in some valuable discussions. It is fine to disagree, but in so doing, we tend to discover somethings about ourselves we never expected.
