Kerry wins the Presidential race next week? Will the UN restore confidence in America and the threat of terrorist attacks against the US be eliminated? Will the black church in America rejoice like many of us did when OJ was acquitted? Will the racial disparities in employment, income, health, incarceration, violent assaults begin to decline? Will our black children who are underperfroming scholastically in innercity public schools finally gain parity with their white cohorts? Will black parents take a more aggressive and dedicated approach to nurturing, raising and educating their own children. Will our black elderly no longer be concerned about attending a night church service because of the probability of random violence in many of our own communities? Time will tell. Or..............

What if Bush is re-elected? Will our pastors, preachers and Episcopal leaders weep like the prophet Jeremiah did in observing the fall of Jerusalem? Will the black church in America remain steadfast in a protest mode? Will the new focus be on 2008 with Sen. Clinton as the "can't miss" nominee? Does the black church have a credible "Plan B" for 2004-2008? So many questions, too few answers. QED

Brother Bill, you lay out an interesting argument, however it fits both sides of the Presidential race. If Bush wins the Presidential race next week? "

We already have a record for the Bush-Cheney administration and If folks wnat to continue four more years of it, that is their right. However, the campaign of Fear as is being delivered by both sides is sad. God did not give us a spirit of fear so pandering to that spirit is not aligning. As the Sister pointed out in a earlier post on this board, because someone is from Massachusetts we are tainted and unqualified for anything but I suggest that this country is in for a rude awakening if President Bush is selected again. With eyes being diverted toward the issue of terrorism, they do not see the threat of a far right Supreme Court. The left hand has to know what the right hand is doing. In other words, you get the whole package when you get a President. I keep him in prayer, praying that he is given a spirit of wisdom and knowledge. Bro Bob McCain

It appears that no matter what happens on next Tuesday, half the population will be extremely angry. The candidates are planting seeds of bitterness with their rhetoric and half-truths. Someone needs to tell them that if you plant the wind, you will reap the whirlwind. AMEN?

be blessed
