Does anybody know if I can view still photographs on a disc through a VCD player connected to the television?

Yes, assuming your VCD player supports burnable media. I recommend using VCDEasy (http://www.vcdeasy.org) to create photo VCDs. VCDEasy is the only program I know that produces VCD that totally comply with the standards for such discs. Pioneer DVD players, for example, were well known for refusing to play photo VCDs unless they were totally compliant, but they would play VCDs that weren't quite in spec.

i have just created data cd and i can verywell play it in my VCD player. Or u can use Nero Express, other u can check.
