Consider this - some great pieces were never published. While we have several pieces that he did published (or where after he died, I'm not sure in Poe's case), it is still a matter to question with all writers how much the wrote. I only say this because Poe almost didn't publish some of his most famous pieces, so there is always a possibility that he just trashed one, two or more works.
